Can't Believe It, I've Almost Reached My 1 Year Anniversary Working for Become!

I always felt that University wasn’t for me so I applied for an apprenticeship because this was the direction that was best suited to me. I studied at Loreto college and in my final year The Apprentice Academy came in and did an induction as to what an apprenticeship involves; I then decided to sign up. Over the summer I attended multiple training/assessment days at The Apprentice Academy and was then accepted as a candidate. I went along to interviews with different companies through The Apprentice Academy before sending my details to Become, however the roles didn’t excite me. I then read over the job spec for Become, I’ve always been a creative person so I knew this would be a great fit so I decided to put my details forward and was offered an interview! I met with Justin first and then met Kim, Iona and Nicole for my second interview. On 3rd February 2017 I got a call from my contact at The Apprentice Academy and was told Become would like to offer me the role! I was thrilled with excitement and accepted the role straight away. I started at Become as an Administrative receptionist, this involved answering incoming calls and enquires, taking detailed messages and passing these to the relevant consultants, meeting and greeting candidates when they arrived for their interview, proofreading ads, emailers and articles, dealing with trouble shooting queries, booking in interviews and much more! After finishing my apprenticeship and completing my Level 3 in Business Administration I was offered a full time position and was promoted to a Resourcer in January 2018! We decided to recruit for another apprentice to take on my previous duties and The Growth Company help us with this process. Myself and Justin interviewed a few apprentices until we found the one – Antonia! She joined Become in January 2018 to take over my admin/reception duties, and I have been responsible for training her up as well as being trained up as a Resourcer by Justin. I have come so far and learnt so much within a year already thanks to everyone in the Manchester team, I can’t wait to see what another year brings!
